The Replay...

Steve Walsh

Steve was born in Muhlenberg county Ky to a musical family and loved being around music. He started playing piano at  6 years old, took up the trumpet in the 4th grade and trombone in Jr. high.  Steve always wanted to play guitar. His uncle who had learned to play back in the 40's with Merle Travis turned out to be a good teacher.

Steve started playing in local bands in 1966 most notably the Louisville Tymes, The Caravans, Mercy Blues (later to be Steve Walsh and Mercy).  He's worked with Jerry Lee Lewis, Chubby Checker, Sami Smith, Vic Dana, Ronnie Dove and Ray Peterson to name a few. He's recorded a movie sound track for twentieth Century Fox and his own album, One to one. Steve retired from the music business about 12 years ago but later came out of retirement to play with Replay.
