Salsa Rhythms is a local Latin band that strives to
satisfy the public by providing live music entertainment
and salsa dance lessons on different rhythms of salsa
such as guaganco, guaracha, guajira, cumbia, latin rock
and the traditional salsa rhythm. The music they play
is usually from the 70's and 80's. They have performed
at the university of Louisville, Elizabeth community
College, For Knox Leaders Club, Louisville Summer Latin
festival, global café in Nashville, University
of Southern Indiana at Evansville, Indiana, Iroquois
Park and at the highland Festival in Louisville. Also,
they were selected to be the pre-show for Yerba Buena
Band at the Kentucky Center. Their most recent performance
was at the Americana Community Center in Louisville,
Kentucky. The band composed of eight (8) musicians.
Two of them are members of the Armed Forces (Army) and
the rest are military retirees. With that being said,
we strongly believe in the impression of our appearances
and we perform under the commitment of a drug free environment
and no alcohol consumption before and during performances.
Our band members are from three Latin-American countries;
six (6) from Puerto Rico, one (1) from Panama and one
(1) from Mexico. Our band wants to become part of the
Hispanic-Latin Community and we are available for dance
parties, formal events, educational programs, cultural
showcases, weddings, clubs, Latin Festivals and other
private engagements.
